Our Strategic Plan

Conduct and support research on women’s health and health disparities.
  • Increase knowledge of cardiovascular disease, sleep, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams on the cross-cultural experiences of menopause.
  • Provide expert analyses on the social determinants of menopause.
  • Develop community-engaged interventions to enhance midlife women’s health.
Empower women to take control of their health in midlife and beyond.
  • Serve as a trusted source of culturally-appropriate information for midlife women.
  • Use community mobilization strategies to raise awareness and build self-efficacy.
  • Create engaging, evidence-based content in English and Spanish on midlife women’s health.
Promote and support the training of health care providers and researchers.
  • Educate clinicians and researchers to improve the health of midlife women.
  • Develop programs to diversify the cadre of clinicians and researchers focused on menopause and midlife women’s health.
Advocate for policies that promote midlife women’s health equity
  • Translate research findings into policies that promote midlife women’s health equity.
  • Advocate for increased representation of marginalized populations in women’s health research.
