Purpose: Latinos are the fastest growing group of older adults in the U.S and will experience the greatest increase in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). In fact, by 2060 the number of Latinos living with Alzheimer’s will increase 8-fold. Early identification of individuals at risk for AD is crucial. The goal of this project is to identify early markers of brain changes non-invasively in the blood, and whether the concentration of these markers differs between men and women. These earlier markers are critical to preventing and reducing the burden of ADRD in Latinos.
